The 328tp is a great plane to fly. All the old 328tps at Vision are ex-Air Wisconsin/ Maxair aircraft. Great performer for high altitude and hot airports. Dont know anything about Vision itself.
I basically commute to Belize and have to use a ZED to get down (sometimes to get back but the gate agents go to bat for me since I know them). I used to jumpseat all the time and even used to sit in the cockpit. Now, Freakin Osama screwed my life up. I spend a lot of money on passes and still...
Thank you for the replies. I figured as much. I guess I will just have to stick it out jumpseating with my current alirline job and someday maybe work for an airline that actually flies to Belize. It is hard but worth it to live in Belize. Yes the exchange rate is 2 to 1 fixed to the US dollar...
If I lived in Belize (just south of Cozumel, Mexico) would any of the fractionals provide positive space tickets to work. It is served by US AIr, American, Continental. Only two-three hours to Houston, Miami, Dallas, or Charlotte. I have heard that some will not because it is international. Any...
Surplus 1 you are right. Know body knows what is going to happen to any airline in five years. Since this is the REGIONAL catagory and the C12bubba was asking about two REGIONALS the and answer was directed in the REGIONAL area. If you posted your comment for flame bait then I took it. It really...
56 total RJ's on property - 10 in Airtran colors = 46 in United colors. Than mean that the rest of the aircraft (14 still to be delivered) are for United. That is a grand total of 70 with 60 for United. Does this clarify the matter.
Morale
Morale is low, but most of us still think this is a great place to work and are optimistic about the future. It is a classic case of "the grass is greener on the other side". The fact is, we are used to lots of growth and being the best paid regional pilots in the industry and that is...
The last Air Wisconsin class in August had an average of 3500tt and all but one had previous 121 time. The other had 135 time. Dont know about the multi and stuff.
All I have to say is the 328 Turbo-prop is the best. We used to call all the other turboprops "speed bumps". Room in cabin and cockpit. Climbs like a homesick angel, trues out at 320kts, Honeywell primus 2000 glass, what more can I say? Almost never weight restricted. It did take a few hits in...
The Dorniers were getting too expensive to operate (900$ for a window shade) so we dropped them and got out of our contract in the Dornier bankrupt proceedings. UAL wants an all jet fleet but some of the airports we serve with the 328 do not have the loads or have too many performance problems...
Hey WD,
Our last contract took forever because it was an almost total re-write. The next contract will be much faster, with mainly the wages to negotiate and some work rules. The work rules are the hardest to get back and they did not change a lot with the new UAL caused TA. The MEC WILL start...
CRJ driver,
Speedtree did not vote (on probation), so lets just get along. This blame game is getting old and what is done is done. Dont like it then leave. I, for one, will still do my best job to make this company perform no matter what happens. My glass is half full. Did you go to a road...
Hello CRJ driver,
You must be talking about the future raises from our current contract and not current pay rates. Let's talk what you are making now not in the future. Yeah, I was supposed to be making more in two years than I will make a few years after that but those raises were much more...
Hey g159av8tor,
I dont want to get into a pissing match, but you sound like one of our pilots who did not read the contract and your math is "fuzzy" to say the least. You are off base because you are making comments on something you dont know about.. PM me for more details. Remember that ACA...
I dont even know why I came to this board? If I wanted a pissing match then I guess I am in the right place. If you want specific information then PM me or Beechnut. This contract is written in such a way that it can be seen as terrible at first sight. You have to read it close. I figure I will...
