IMO stand ups are fine if they are built accordingly. MSP-FAR, ATL-CHS, SLC-DEN. It's when the legs start going over an hour of flying time when they get real narly. Problem is that some people want them, most do not, and they definitely aren't something that you should force people to do...
+1... Times are different now than in 2009-12. If they aren't making money now something isn't right. American made money, so comparing mergers to mergers is more about the economy at the time and not about who made what five years ago. Something's fishy about what's going on at UAL and for...
Really what it comes down to with emirates and the us carriers is the level of service. Our jobs as pilots is the same whether it's an A380 over the pond or a 73 out of ewr. In addition emirates operates as a government backed operation. They are not on equal footing, and the US carriers will...
What's the point of having a national union that represents a majority of the pilots in the US when a select few from within the group (ie PSA) ruin it for everyone else. The national union is just as responsible for this travesty as PSA pilots are for not shooting that piece of crap TA down...
Well TSA, FAA, Homeland Security, The Boobie Squad, whoever...a woMAN who acts like a complete idiot and causes the problems she did deserves to be punished. Clearly self humiliation doesn't bother her, so maybe something a little more STIFF...
Love how it says "TSA is considering charges"...when the F is the TSA going to man up and start making these idiots who cause a ruckus on the airplanes pay for their actions? A diverted flight which cost the airline a lot of money in fuel and labor, and delaying every other passenger on that...
Does anyone know how many US Air has hired in this latest round of hiring? Seems like they have hired a lot more than 200 within the last couple years and continue to hire, wondering if there is a more exact number. thanks
XPOO...why so defensive...SkyW is a good company and believe me we're all happy that you're gonna stay there the rest of your career from tone of your writing, but it's still a regional, still dependent on the mother airlines handing out scraps to the dogs. I do think that long term...LONG...
Go to compass...hulas has owned the place for three years now and hasn't it burnt it down too bad yet. Compass is an operational and performance gem for TSA holdings and I don't think that they are too concerned with shaking up the place anytime soon. Obviously this arguement is speculation...
Correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't Delta owning a refinery help the rest of the industry as well? If they can reduce the crack spreads and lower their fuel costs, wouldn't that put pressure on the competing fuel companies who supply United, American, SWA, etc to lower their pricing or become...
Looks unprofessional...as do a lot of things I see in the airport. But com'n we going camping or going to work? Ever seen a business man/woman in a suit walking around in with a backpack? looks stupid and out of place...same with pilots IMO
Never leave these behind...what a stupid post...if you don't know how to pack a suitcase for 3-4 days then it's time to switch careers bub...

As others have stated, if they place all of the "conflicts" in before they run the bid, then it can be a crap shoot as far as what you end up with. Depending on the contract language, if you have a week of vaca and cannot slide it, they can build a trip that ends the day before your vacation...
