The wife and I currently live in ATL and I commute to my domicile, IAD. The commute out of ATL is pretty easy on UAX, DAL and AirTran considering ACA'a commuter clause. In total, there are 25 direct flights daily.

I plan to stay on the J-41 until I'm surplused which will probably happen rather soon since I'll be a junior captain. Also, I'll be on reserve the entire time, probably. I'm taking into consideration that JAX is an ACA station and we do have 4 flights daily direct IAD and none at MCO. I know ATL inside and out as far as commuting is concerned.

We are trying to settle down somwhere and would appreciate any insights or opinions commuting out of MCO or JAX. We are considering other options like moving to IAD or ORD when I transition to the jet, but the FL commute is something we can't resolve.

Tailwinds...

Buy ya one of those big RVs, then you'll have a moving crash pad. Really the only way to go.
