These kind of events have rippling effects on everyone costing millions in diverts, cancelled flights and passengers unable to get their destinations.

Yep. Stranded out and unable to be with their families, another pilot being JA'd to fill their trip and companies forced to pay that JA pay.

Anything you say can and will be held against you in the court of law. Even tone, meaning, pace at which you speak will be scrutinized. Honestly it was probably a good idea for them not to say anything. That's what this country and it's law system has come to.
