incident at 1835z from the top article. looks like moderate rain 1.5 miles. gusty winds (surprise in Chicago)

They (ATC) need to find a way to be able to use the RNAV to 22L while coexisting with ORD on days like today.

I don't get up to MDW very often. Have any of you MDW pilots ever seen it used?

Didn't go into the EMAS since it wasn't an overrun, they landed on 13C and were making a left turnoff at the end and went into the sod.

And they mistook the chevron for a taxiway centerline?

AGAIN? Were they hurrying to make the ontime for the schedule? Did they only have 20 minutes until they had to push for CLE, and they were hungry? Jay Leno and others will have another field day on this.

BTW, happy nobody got hurt. Do you think that skid hurt the rivets in the ceiling? SLOW DOWN.......

Bye Bye---General Lee

Been in the business long enough not to come down harsh on fellas landing an airliner on 13C at MDW while dealing with rain and Xwind. That being said, I'm quite content my airline pulled out of that rathole a while back. Pathetic that there are better equipped airports in Central America then Chicago's #2 airport. I say bulldoze that postage stamp ala Meigs and while your at it take out John Wayne as well.

At least they didn't land on the taxiway...

You are a bad Omen for your Airline, and I pray that your childish blatherings never come back to haunt you.

"Watch your thoughts, for they become words. Watch your words, for they become actions. Watch your actions, for they become habits. Watch your habits, for they become character. Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny".
