"Hidden" like the contents of Pandora's Box?

She was looking for a payday. A female Captain at UAL has most likely eaten a lot to sit in the left seat at a major. I doubt she needed to ground herself. I guess this was her big FU to the airline that hired her and gave her a chance. What a POS. A pporn mag is not that disturbing.... especially when most of these female pilots are so butchy that they might as well be males.

Now, now, don't take out your sexual frustration (lack of any action at all) on all female pilots! Not all of us are as you describe!

I'll go ahead and say that this chick was wound a little too tight. So you find some porn... big deal! It's not like "it's" something we've never seen before! I just take it in stride and install some chick porn (nude guys), then watch the guys squirm!

Just because there's a bunch of butch old grandmas with no sense of humor, don't take it out on all of us! ;)

It makes me laugh every time when I find the female version.........fair is fair.

Do you remember a while back when McDonald's was sued by a woman who spilled some really, really hot coffee in her lap? After McDonald's had to dish out millions they decided it was a good idea to change/modify all their coffee makers. After all, they had been sued, and lost, before but it was worth it as the changing/modification of the coffee makers was very costly. Some of these big corporations only understands one thing: A big payout after a major lawsuit. I bet that United, Alaska etc. definitely will take it seriously if they ever get another complaint of porn in the cockpit again. Personally, I would be slightly offended but most of all, extremely embarrassed on behalf of my co-workers. How childish and immature.

Grow the f@ck up, Mr. Rogers . . . . I'm sure you fly with a different pilot every week . . . and wonder why.

Just another case of Encouraging an entitlement mentality like Ms. Stout's. The mentality that suggests that one can be a complete dumbass and get paid money for it. This is a major factor in the degradation of the quality of life in America.

Which would effectively be the basis of all union employment. You really can't have your cake and eat it as well I am afraid.

I'm amazed that you guys are married and have daughters....

I'd tell my daughter "oh, dear, don't be such a stuck-up cxxt, it's just a joke, I am not showing you what you don't already have or will have anyways. This is a men's world, you might as well learn now or you gonna have a hard time."

Glad you are on the board ....

The article does not say what the case settled for. I heard it settled for a pack of smokes, a promise not to sue United anymore and a signed copy of the Bay Minette Aviation 2009 Calendar:

They have a government fuel contract and when you fly in there you would think this was the only place the US Navy and Army can get gas in the lower 48. They stay busy. Just try not to get run over by a formation of T34's if you go there.

Free Pizza.

No, it's not.

It *used* to be a man's world, now the pendulum has shifted. Women get preference in hiring, they are being retained while the men are being let go (70% of the people laid off or let go in this downturn have been men), and you've got a big shift starting for women being the primary bread winners in the home.

I personally like the equality shift; always kind of funny to tell the girl when she starts making more money than you that she gets to pay more of the bills... they just don't seem to like that part of the equation. :D

Seriously though, B.O., you always have had a pretty good attitude for the industry. If more WIA were like you, we'd probably all have a little more fun out there instead of always having to wonder if the girl we're flying with is cool or if we're going to crack a joke and end up in the Chief Pilot's office...

Incidentally, this one has been brewing for a couple years now, I remember hearing about the "offended porn-finding chick" back when I was at PCL. From the info that trickled around back then, she was looking for her meal ticket for a while...

So many people would have loved to have her career, what a shame people like that end up in aviation.
